Online applications are invited for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2018 (NEET-UG-2018) to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE),for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established by an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. Admissions to all seats of MBBS/BDS courses will be done through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2018.

The seats are classified in the following categories

(i) All India Quota Seats.
(ii) State Government Quota Seats.
(iii) State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University.
(iv) Central Pool Quota Seats.

The NEET (UG) shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with the single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The duration of paper would be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.


(i) Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRI’s), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for appearing in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2018.
(ii) The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2018 i.e. the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course.
(iii) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS seats shall be 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to
SC/ST/OBC category.                                                                                                  (iv) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) shall be limited to 3 (Three) uniformly for all the candidates.
(v) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology at the qualifying
examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates. Further, for persons with locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing in Class XII examination in 2018 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.


1. An All India merit list and All India Rank of the qualified candidates shall be
prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum
Entrance Test and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS courses from
the said list only by following the Existing Reservation Policies.
2. All admission to MBBS/BDS courses within in the respective categories shall
be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.
3. All other existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules and Policies of the State/UT/Institution/University concerned.

NEET2018:- National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges.CBSE has released the cut off score of NEET 2017 for all categories. The seat allotment result will be declared in online mode, after each round of counseling, scheduled to be conducted in the month of June 2017. The counseling of NEET 2017 will be held in two rounds only for allotment to 15% All India Quota seats.Based on the NEET cutoff score, admission is offered to the qualified candidates in medical and dental institutes of India.

Counselling  process & schedule for NEET 2018 For (Round -1, Round-2 Round-3)

Step1:-Online Medical Counseling start on website Registration,

Step2:-Submission of Choices, view indicative seat allotment, modify & lock the choice filling by the candidate.

Step3:- First round of seat allotment to the respective candidate according to their choice filling.So Be careful while filling the choice, check the previous year cutoff of college, for more details visit check the status of the college which are you going to fill in the choice, For more details visit Before locking the choice.

Step4:- If you get seat allocated in the first round then Report to the Allotted Institute, complete Admission formalities and give willingness as follows: Willingness to participate in 2nd round YES/NO.

Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in 1st round of allotment display of newly added/vacant seats & also of anticipated vacancies (seats likely to be available after the conversion of Vacant Seats in category/subcategory and up-gradation of previously allotted seats with newly offered seats)
Earlier Choices submitted by the candidate will be treated null and void.
 Fresh Choices submission for seat allotment in the 2nd round is mandatory.

Step 5:- Round 2 seat allotment is done then if you get allocated any college then Report to the Allotted Institute**.  If you not get allocated seat in counselling process then NEET 2018 counselling is over for you.

Caution:- The following Changes in scheme has been made in15% (AIQ)

  • After the second round of counselling for All India Quota seats, the students who take admission in All India Quota seats should not be allowed/permitted to vacate the seats.
  • It has been decided by MCC that the earlier eligibility criteria of15% AIQ wherein total candidates called for Counselling were five times the number of seats available for allotment was(as being done previously) has been abolished.
